Personal best: 8k – 32:02 (UCR ’08)…

Nelson Gil (Junior as he is known on the team) is a senior at Claremont McKenna College.  He is from Los Angeles, CA and has been running cross country since his senior year of high school at New Roads where he earned the position of Co-Captain.  The son of Nelson and Alma Torres, he is also part of Sigma Theta Chi of the Claremont Colleges and is an internet ordained minister.  He runs for CMS because in his words, "This team makes me feel like I'm part of a family and I know I can rely on my team for anything."
