Kris burst forth from the womb of Karin Brown in March of 1989 and a mere 10 years later he began his illustrious cross country career.  In the footsteps of his four-hour marathoner father, Mike, the young boy ran through the mean streets of Seattle, honing his speed as he evaded ill-intentioned pursuers.  After four years at the historic institution of Garfield High School, Kris decided to attend Claremont McKenna in order to pursue glory as a Division III athlete.  In addition to running a 14:44 5K, CMS' third-best all-time mark, he has used his time at CMC to pursue his passions for cooking, philosophy, environmentalism and public nudity.  "Nature Boy" as he is affectionately referred to by Coach Goldhammer, enjoys salted chocolates, hugs and endurance athletics.
