Florian Scheulen lives in Encinitas, CA.  He graduated from San Dieguito Academy and has been running cross country since his sophomore year in high school.  He finished third in the West Region with a personal best of 25:05 last season.  He is majoring in Engineering at Harvey Mudd College.  He is the son of Susanne and Jurgen Scheulen.  He plans on pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering after graduating.  He has been working on various civil engineering projects as a De Pietro Research Fellow.
