"Montana" Dan Evans, a sophomore Economics major at CMC, has made significant improvements since joining the Stags distance program.  A two-time captain for Loyola Sacred Heart High School in Missoula, MT, he scored for the runner-up and state title cross country teams in 2005 and 2006 respectively.  Coming off a track season culminating in a 10:18 steeplechase, he hopes to see a payoff from his high mileage training for the 2009 season, possibly as a scoring runner for the Stags.  The son of Gerald and Roberta Evans and the older brother of Montana standout Mike Evans, Dan writes and records rock music in his free time under the name Daniel and the Dragon.
