Breanna Deutsch has lived her entire life in the very green and very suburban town of Sammamish, WA.  After finally admitting to herself that she was a terrible soccer player, she decided to try running her junior year of high school.  She went on to place 13th in the State Meet and ran in the Nike Border Clash race.  She set her school record in the two mile and has run a 5:18 mile.

She was recovering from an injury for the majority of her freshman year, but ended the track season by placing fifth at the SCIAC Championship in the 5000.  Breanna attends Scripps College and plans to dual major in Government and History and minor in Spanish.  She writes for the 5-College newspaper, the Claremont Independent.  Her claim to fame is that her great-great uncle was a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz.
