Athenas move on to Third Round of NCAA's

In a rematch of last week's final home match of the regular season, the #12 ranked Athenas beat #15 Chapman University 5-2 to move into the the third round of the NCAA Division III Women's Team Championships.

The number 1 duo of Kristin Lim (So.- Honolulu, HI) and Crystal Lim (Fr.-Orange, CA)  (pictured right) moved to 26-2 on the season with a 8-3 win over Elizabeth Lewis  and Kelley Fox.  Chloe Dobbert (Fr. - Walnut Creek, CA) and Jessie Huang (Fr. - Temple City, CA) lost at #2 doubles 8-4 to Melissa Boyer and Gena Ford.  First time doubles partners, Jaclyn Smrecek (So. - Irvine, CA)  and Hannah Kornfeld (Sr. - Larkspur, CA) lost 8-3 to Kelley Klebenow and Danielle Kaiden.

The Athenas came on strong in singles with wins in order of completion from #2 Crystal Lim, #5 Jaclyn Smrecek, #4 Jessie Huang and #3 Chloe Dobbert.

The Athenas will face #7 Pomona-Pitzer in the third round for a spot in the final eight of the NCAA Championships.
