Andrew Deters joins the CMS coaching staff for the 2010-11 season.  He is a Claremont native and was a star on several Southern California swim clubs. Andrew competed at the Senior National level under such renowned teams as Industry Hills Aquatic Club and Irvine Novaquatics. A natural born distance swimmer, he led many distance groups throughout his long career, allowing him to achieve an Olympic Trials Cut in the 1500 meter Freestyle.

Andrew then attended the University of Notre Dame, helping the Irish achieve two Big East Championships. He received multiple All-Big East Honors, and won the 1650 yard freestyle his junior year. At Notre Dame, Andrew received a degree in Information Technology Management from the Mendoza College of Business. Andrew resides in Claremont.
