Coach Adams begins his eighth season with the CMS diving program, bringing exciting skills to the pool deck. He has coached five different divers to 10 SCIAC championships, an All-American award and 3 honorable mention All-American awards at CMS. After moving to the area, he established himself in the Southern California coaching circle. In addition to his coaching duties with the Stags and Athenas, Adams is the head coach of the Turn ‘n Burn Diving club, located in Riverside. After the NCAA Division III season concludes, Jimmy coaches the diving teams at Riverside Community College and Rancho Cucamonga High School.
Prior to his move to Southern California, Adams coached with American Flyers Diving, one of the premier clubs in Ohio. Coach "Jimmy," as his divers call him, is an accomplished athlete and has spent several years as a professional diver. He has appeared in shows throughout the United States, consisting of high diving exhibitions, as well as springboard and platform dives. In 2003, Jimmy represented the USA in the annual cliff diving championships held in Acapulco, Mexico, placing 11th overall. As a high school student, Jimmy was the 1988 and 1989 Colorado High School state champion on the 1-meter springboard, setting a state record in '89 for Wasson High School in Colorado Springs. Jimmy lives in Rancho Cucamonga.
