Stags and Athenas Earn Academic Honors
The CMS Swimming and Diving Teams received recognition from the College Swimming Coaches Association for outstanding academic achievement during the Spring 2011 semester. The CMS Stags ranked 23rd among all NCAA D-III teams with a GPA of 3.24. The Athenas ranked 24th on the women’s list with a 3.42 GPA.

Athenas Finish 7th, Stags Finish 17th At NCAA Championships
The men's and women's swim teams turned in solid performances at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships in Knoxville, TN which concluded on Saturday. The Athenas are finished with 133 points and the Stags finished 17th with 74 points.

Athenas 6th, Stags 15th After Two Days At NCAA Championships
After two of four days at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships in Knoxville, TN, the CMS swim teams are well positioned. The Athenas are tied for sixth with 108 points and the Stags are 15th with 28 points.

16 Swimmers Qualify For NCAA Championships
Eight Athenas and eight Stags will represent CMS at the 2011 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Tennessee on March 23-26. The 16 athletes are the most participants CMS has had in one year.

Kee Named SCIAC Athlete Of The Week
Michele Kee was selected SCIAC Athlete of the Week for the week of February 21-27. She was named SCIAC Swimmer of the Year after winning three individual events and anchoring four winning relays at the SCIAC Championships.

Athenas Win Ninth Straight Title
CMS finished first at the 2011 SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships at Long Beach and won their ninth straight and 13th overall title. CMS scored 1072.5 points, 377.5 points ahead of second place. Michele Kee, winner of three individual events and the anchor on four winning relays, was named SCIAC Swimmer of the Year.

Athenas Dominating After Two Days At SCIAC Championships
The eight-time defending champion Athenas hold a commanding lead after the second of three days at the SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships. CMS has 766.5 points, 328.5 points ahead of second place Redlands. The Athenas have won nine of the 14 events contested.

CMS Advances Five to Diving Finals
CMS advanced five divers in nine events to the SCIAC Diving Finals during the preliminary rounds which were contested this past weekend at Pomona-Pitzer.

Liu Named SCIAC Athlete Of The Week
Helen Liu was selected SCIAC Athlete of the Week for the week of January 31 - February 6. Liu was a part of three pool records as CMS won at Redlands 166-74.

Athenas Set Records at Redlands
In the final dual meet of the season, the CMS Athena swimming and diving squad took down the host University of Redlands Bulldogs by a count of 166 to 74 on Saturday. The Athenas finish 7-0 in SCIAC and the class of 2011 concludes its career with a perfect 28-0 record in league dual meets.

Athenas Move To 6-0 In SCIAC
The CMS Athena swimming and diving squad moved to 6-0 in the SCIAC after defeating Occidental 213 to 71 over the weekend at Occidental. CMS won all 14 swimming events and one of the two diving events en route to the team victory.

CMS Top Cal Lu On Senior Day
The CMS Stag and Athena Class of 2011 enjoyed a stellar “Senior Day” on January 22, 2011. The swimmers and divers faced California Lutheran University in the final home meet of the season. After the requisite cheers, hugs, chest-bumps and balloons, the Athenas dethroned the Regals 192 to 44 while the Stags topped the Kingsmen 158 to 83.

CMS Sweeps the Poets
AccuWeather called it “Sunny and Pleasantly Warm.” The CMS Stags and Athenas called it a “Great Day to Swim and Dive.” All around, it was an excellent time to be in Claremont, as CMS swept the Whittier Poets at the CMS Axelrood Pool on Saturday, January 15, 2011. The Athenas won 220-68, while the Stags took first by a score of 241-56. Both CMS squads are 4-0 in SCIAC competition.

CMS Dominates La Verne
The CMS Stags and Athenas each moved to 3-0 in SCIAC competition after dominating wins over the University of La Verne on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at CMS’ Axelrood Pool. CMS won 183 to 55 on the men’s side and 197 to 34 in the women’s meet.

The CMS Stags and Athenas crossed Sixth Street on Saturday, December 4 to face Pomona-Pitzer and returned with two conference dual meet wins and four pool records.

CMS Swimming & Diving Tops Caltech
The CMS Stags and Athenas opened SCIAC competition with a pair of easy wins versus Caltech on Friday, December 3 at Axelrood Pool. The Athenas won 182 to 42 and the Stags topped CIT 184 to 37.

Stags and Athenas Fare Well At Pentathlon
The CMS Swimming teams fared well at the annual Bulldog Pentathlon, contested at the University of Redlands on Saturday, November 13, 2010. At the meet, each swimmer competed in the 100 yard butterfly, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 100 freestyle and 100 individual medley.

The CMS Athena Swimming and Diving team earned a fifth place ranking in the first CSCAA NCAA D-III dual meet poll of the 2010-11 season. Rankings are formed by votes from member institutions.

Athenas Open At UCSD
The CMS Athenas faced an early season challenge at Division II UC San Diego on Saturday, October 30. Despite ending on the short side of a 189 to 103 score, the Athenas splashed to a number of impressive early season performances.

Dover Earns NCAA Elite 88 Award
Tessa Dover earned her second NCAA Elite 88 Award for having the highest cumulative GPA among the competitors at the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships.
