CMS Alumni Take Down Current Athenas

On a warm sunny Sunday afternoon, the Athenas took on their alumni in a heated battle. The alumni showed up to see the current team finishing up a hard fitness session prior to the game. With the team's legs a bit tired, the alumni went at them right from the whistle.  The game was well fought on both sides. The alumni were represented by Andrea Dabrow (CMC ’89), Chelina Odbert (CMC ’99), Erin McLendon (CMC ’05), Michelle Daley (CMC ’06), Ina Labermeier (CMC ’06), Sara Solis (CMC ’06 [pictured]), Nicole Esclamado (HMC ’07), Kate Jarvis (Scripps ’08), and Megan Kum (Scripps ’08). We thank them for their effort. They were helped by a few current players to fill out their roster. The final score was 6-3. For the alumni, Daley and Jarvis tallied two goals a piece, and Esclamado and McLendon each had one. For the Athenas, Giselle Galanto (JR, Duarte) had two goals and Arlyn Madsen-Bond (SO, Cambridge, MA) scored one.  As the final whistle blew, everyone was a bit tired and hot, and all that could stay enjoyed mingling and enjoying some food and cold refreshments.  All in all, a fun day honoring those CMS women’s soccer athletes that represented the Athenas in earlier years.
