Friedman-Gerlicz Named SCIAC Athlete Of The Week

Camila Friedman-Gerlicz (JR, Santa Fe, NM) was selected SCIAC Athlete of the Week for the week of November 3-9.  She recorded shutouts in the semifinal and final of the SCIAC Tournament as the Athenas won the event for the second time in three years. In the semifinals, she recorded six saves in the 0-0 double-overtime tie with Cal Lutheran and made a critical save in the fourth round of the team’s 3-2 penalty kick shootout victory. In the finals, she recorded nine saves as CMS beat host Redlands 1-0. On the season, she has five shutouts (and played in the first half of the team’s other two shutouts), has recorded 125 saves and has a save percentage of 0.856. She was selected First Team All-SCIAC for the second straight year. CMS is 11-8-1 overall.
