CMS Ends Season with NSCAA National Ranking
The CMS Athenas were in the final NSCAA poll released for 2008. The team was ranked 23rd overall. It is the first time the Athenas have been ranked nationally at the end of the season.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps lost to Carleton College 1-0 on Friday in an NCAA Tournament Sectional Semifinal at Wheaton, IL.

Women's Soccer Team Makes History Twice
The Athenas soccer team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time on Friday evening and then won an NCAA game for the first time in school history on Saturday night to advance to the NCAA Sectional this Friday.

Athenas Win SCIAC Tournament, Qualify For NCAA Playoffs
The women's soccer team won the SCIAC Tournament on Saturday evening 1-0 over University of Redlands. With the victory, the Athenas automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships.

CMS advanced to the final of the SCIAC Tournament via penalty kick shootout after their semifinal with Cal Lutheran ended in a 0-0 tie after two overtimes.

On Wednesday evening, the Athenas soccer team defeated the Occidental Tigers 1-0 to secure a position in the SCIAC Conference Tournament. CMS improved to 10-7 and 7-4 in SCIAC.

Athenas Fall To Cross Street Rivals
CMS lost at Pomona-Pitzer 3-0 on Saturday in the latest addition to the Sixth Street rivalry. CMS fell to 9-5 overall, but remain in first place in SCIAC with a 6-2 record. The Sagehens are now 6-7-1 overall and fifth in SCIAC with a 4-4-1 record.
