Onaindia returns to the Athenas for her third year coaching.  She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Sociology major and Feminist Studies Minor after a playing career at Cal State San Bernardino and UC Santa Barbara.  Onaindia was a McDonald's All-America Honorable Mention and Cal-Hi Sports All-State Second Team after a stellar career at North High School in Bakersfield.  A two-time league MVP, team MVP and Player of the Year by the Bakersfield Californian she had 2,279 career points in high school and holds 10 school records including 54 in one game (top performance in Kern Country history).  She led the Stars to back-to-back Southwest Yosemite League and CIF Division II Central Section Championship titles.  She scored a Central Section record 979 points as a senior, an average of 28 per game, and also averaged six assists per game during her three-year career at NHS.
