Eric Johnson "EJ" of Walnut Creek in Northern California was a 9:40 two-miler and 4:26 miler while at De La Salle High School. An all-around runner, he will use this track season to find a niche in the 1500m, steeplechase or 5000m. A 3-time CIF Cross Country State Championship runner, he thrives on the success of the team and expects to have a promising future with the Stags.

Eric is an Economics and Engineering major and hopes to survive the five-year ordeal. In addition to long runs along the beach, he enjoys cycling, plyometrics and ice-baths.
