A self-described running junkie, Matt has yet to fully realize his potential due to several injuries. This past Cross Country season he was diagnosed with compartment syndrome which halted his progress since February of 2008. The wait for his return has been tough after his top seven start as a Freshman Cross Country runner. On the track, his best times are 9:22.12 and 15:44.55 for 3,000 and 5,000 meters respectively. 

Matt attended Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, California prior to Harvey Mudd College where his PRs include 9:42 for 2 Miles and 33:39 for 10,000 meters. Matthew immigrated to the United States from Canada and yearns to some day return to - and compete for - his native land.
