Kramer was a First Team All-SCIAC runner during the 2008 Cross Country season and a member of the runner-up West Region team. During the 2008 track season, Kramer focused between the 3,000 and 5,000 meter distance races with PRs of 9:10.80 for the 3,000, 10:03.06 for the Steeplechase and a nice 5,000 meter race at the Benny Brown Invitational - winning his heat with a time of 15:56.42.

Kramer attended Sacred Heart Prep in Palo Alto, California prior to HMC.
