Known as ‘The Bulgarian Bullet' both on and off the track, Georgi is a 2001 immigrant from Bulgaria.

Recruited primarily as a 1500 meter runner, Georgi has shown great stamina as he has been the Cross Country team's #8 runner his Freshman and Sophomore years in the Fall.

He was CMS' best Middle Distance runner as a Freshman, placing in both the 800 and 1500 meter races at the SCIAC Championships. He has recorded bests of 1:58.84, 4:02.62 and 15:35.83 for the 800, 1500 and 5000 meters respectively. This year Georgi expand on his already impressive range and attempt the Steeplechase.

A true scholar of the sport, Georgi works tremendously hard to improve his running with regards to his fitness, strength and technique. He can often be found after practice working on his form or attempting to convince his teammates of the merit of the Pose method, developed by Dr. Nicholas Romanov, who may be one of Georgi's distant relatives.

Prior to Harvey Mudd College, Georgi attended Soquel High School in Santa Cruz.
